Emil Ruusuvuori’s Leading Role
Emil Ruusuvuori played a pivotal role in Finland’s 2024 Davis Cup journey. Indeed, the year commenced on a historic note for the Finnish team. They secured a place among the top 16 countries in the world for the second consecutive year. As a result, they secured a spot in the Davis Cup Group Stage Finals in Malaga this September. Emil’s unwavering commitment and stellar performance, winning both of his matches, have been instrumental in the team’s historic success. They breezed past Portugal 3-0 in the qualifiers.
This achievement in 2024 builds upon the foundation laid in 2023. Last year, Team Finland achieved the milestone of qualifying for the Davis Cup Final 8 for the very first time. Fast-forward to the end of November, and they continued to make waves by reaching the semifinals in Malaga. Indeed, it’s a historic moment for the Finnish team. We are extremely proud of Emil and encourage them to go even further this year!

While representing Hungary, Márton Fucsovics secured a victory against the formidable Jan-Lennard Struff, ranked 25th in ATP. Additionally, the win came in two impressive sets. On the other hand, Henrique Rocha, playing for Team Portugal, also achieved a victory in his match against Eero Vasa. Unfortunately, despite these individual successes, both countries fell short of progressing to the next round. Nevertheless, these triumphs underscore the players’ skill and dedication on the international stage.
